Mayfair is an area of West London, by the east edge of Hyde Park, in the City of Westminster. The area is one of the city's finest residential areas and one of London's most attractive villages. It was named after the annual fortnight-long May Fair that, from 1686 to 1764, took place on the site that is Shepherd Market. Mayfair is home to some of the finest shopping establishments in the world, and nigerian billionaires like: Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola and Folurunsho Alakija, make it their holiday home.
According to Uk newspaper reports, the price of property in Mayfair area has skyrocketed due the increased interest of these oil tycoons from Nigeria. The price of a property there could run into millions of british pounds.
