This young man was known as James Mercer Langston Hughes born on
February 1, 1902 at
Joplin, Missouri , United States.
He was one of the earliest innovators of the then-new literary
art form called jazz poetry. Hughes is best known as a leader
of the Harlem Renaissance.
if he had been alive February 1 2015 would had been his 113th year birthday.
