MGGO contestants battle in Lagos makeover
It was excitement all the way on this week’s episode of Malta
Guinness Game On (MGGO); both teams (Team Fashion and
Team Football) currently with four members apiece strove
again to determine who would come out tops in the series
powered by Malta Guinness. The contestants were challenged
to uplift their community and show that passion could also
impact on one’s environment.
For Team Fashion, the task was to refurbish a boutique,
design and create ready-to-wear clothes as well as organize a
runway show to showcase the designs. Team Football on the
other hand was divided into pairs and challenged to costume
and coach two teams of amateur footballers into more
disciplined sides as well as upgrade a football facility within
the community.
Team Fashion got to work together with their captain, Lanre
Da Silva Ajayi, putting out eclectic designs that became the
framework for magnificent dresses. They were assisted by
tailors from the community and models to showcase their
designs.
Nigerian ex-international, Daniel Amokachi, led Team Football
to work on giving the Razak Balogun pitch in Surulere a
makeover and organized two sides that played a football
match which ended 1-1.
Football fans, fashion lovers and other members of the
Surulere community who turned out en masse for the event
voted but this time, it was a tie.
All eight contestants will go into next week’s grand finale with
the chance of winning fabulous prizes. To vote for the passion
of your choice, go to facebook.com/MaltaGuinness. The final
episode airs next Sunday.
