Emerhor to set aside N10bn business fund for Deltaentreprenuers

Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress
(APC) in Delta State and renowned banker, Olorogun O’tega
Emerhor, has promised to set aside N10 billion as
empowerment funds within the first 100 days of administration
if elected.
Emerhor said the N10 billion will be used as financial aid to
assist budding entrepreneurs especially women and youths
within local communities, adding that access points will be
created at local government headquarters for the beneficiaries.
Speaking at Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of the
state during the flag off of his campaign for the February 28
election, Emerhor noted that venture capitalist consultants will
also be on hand to give business guidance to such budding
entrepreneurs.
“We are from the business community and we know how to
turn little capital into flourishing businesses. As individuals,
we have been turning around dead businesses, and we know
that there are many dead businesses in Delta State.”
“We will turn these businesses around to create employment
for our people and boost our economy. We are going to turn
the state around from the under-development that has
bedeviled it in the past 16 years,” he added.
Chairman of APC in the state, Prophet Jones Erue, had
described the governorship candidate as a prudent manager of
resources who has come to right all the wrongs of the ruling
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led governments since 1999.
