Eagles job: Accept NFF offer or quit, Ladipo charges Keshi

The President General, Nigerian Football and other Sports
Supporters Club, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, has called on the leadership
of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), to finally put to rest
the issue of out-of-contract coach, Stephen Keshi by offering
a take it or leave it contract.
Ladipo, while addressing journalist in Abuja yesterday noted
that the delay in signing a new deal with Keshi is counter-
productive stressing that an end to this aspect will help
realign the Eagles for the task ahead.
His words: “Let those conditions as the NFF would want be
made open to Keshi, let the two parties- the employer and the
employee- put pen to paper and itemize those conditions that
will bring in a good situation that could be sustained for us to
have a good Super Eagles.
“But like I said before now Stephen Keshi needs to get
attached to one or two other teams in Europe for about two or
three months because such attachment will help him, no
matter how good he may be by the time he goes there and
stay like three months he will be a better coach and would be
able to come back and impact on the players what he must
have learnt”.
He also spoke on the administrative crisis wrecking Nigerian
football, warning those still fanning the embers of war to have
a rethink in the overall interest of the game that has effectively
engaged a lot of Nigerian youths.
“I believe that the crisis should be put to rest and anybody
that is planning to fight again is certainly not doing so for the
sake of Nigeria.”
May be he is doing so for his or her selfish reasons which we
will not want to happen. Election has come and gone we
should allow those there now to do their job, four years is not
eternity,” he appealed.
However, he has also called on the Eagles’ gaffer to head for
a fresher course preferably in one top European club.
He argued that spending about three months in a top
European side will help him update himself on the modern
technicalities of the game, stressing that such refresher course
will help him become a better coach.
